At Dolphy Social Inc, your privacy is important to us. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application, Dolphy Social. It also explains your rights, especially if you’re a California resident.
Information We Collect
When you use Dolphy Social, we collect information that helps us create a safe and engaging experience. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and any profile photos or media you choose to upload. If you sign in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we also collect limited authentication data from those platforms.
Location Information
Location data is required to use Dolphy Social. We collect your device’s approximate location (low accuracy) to enable the core functionality of the app, including connecting you with other users in your area and providing location-based features. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
We collect location data:
- When the app is open and in use
- Continuously while you’re actively using the app
- To determine your general proximity to other users and relevant locations
You must grant location permissions to use Dolphy Social. If you disable location services, the app will not function properly. Your location data is used to:
- Show you users and content relevant to your geographic area
- Enable proximity-based matching and discovery
- Power location-based features similar to those found in social discovery apps
- Display nearby places and events
As you use the app, we gather data about your interactions—such as which screens you visit, what content you post, and how you engage with other users. We also collect device-level data like your operating system version and app version, to help us understand performance and fix bugs.
We do not process direct payment details ourselves.
How We Use Your Data
Your data helps us deliver the core features of Dolphy Social. This includes creating your account, enabling profile discovery and matching based on location, allowing messaging and posting, and delivering customer support. We also use it to personalize your experience and improve the app through analytics.
Your location data specifically enables us to:
- Connect you with users near you
- Show you location-relevant content and features
- Improve our geographic matching algorithms
- Analyze usage patterns across different regions

Third-Party Services
Dolphy Social relies on trusted third-party providers to make the app work seamlessly. For authentication, data storage, and analytics, we use Firebase by Google. Google Maps is used to process location data, suggest places, and support location-related features. Stripe helps us manage in-app subscriptions, while OneSignal powers our push notifications. We also integrate with the Facebook SDK for social login and sharing.
Your location data may be shared with these third-party services to enable app functionality. These services may collect their own information according to their individual privacy policies.
Sharing and Disclosure
We don’t sell or rent your personal data. Information may be shared only when necessary to run the service—such as with our cloud providers and mapping services—or if required by law. In cases where safety or legal compliance is involved, we may disclose relevant data.
Your approximate location or city may be visible to other users as part of the app’s core functionality. We do not collect or display precise GPS coordinates.
Data Retention
We retain your location data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to provide our services. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
Your Rights and Controls
You have control over your information. You can view and update your profile within the app, and if you’d like to delete your account and associated data, you can do so in-app or by emailing us at contact@dolphysocial.com.
Location Controls: You can manage location permissions through your device settings. However, please note that disabling location access will prevent you from using Dolphy Social, as location is required for core app functionality.
We honor all valid deletion requests, and in accordance with California privacy laws, we give users the right to access, update, or delete their data.
SMS and Phone Number Usage
Phone Number Collection and Consent
When you provide your phone number to Dolphy Social, you are giving us your express written consent to send you SMS text messages. By providing your phone number and using our Service, you agree to receive text messages for:
- Verification Messages: Authentication codes, account verification, and identity confirmation
- Security Alerts: Password resets, suspicious activity notifications, and critical security updates
- Service Notifications: Booking confirmations, activity reminders, and service updates related to your account
- Account Information: Subscription updates and important account changes
Message Frequency and Rates
Message frequency varies based on your account activity and usage of the Service. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from Dolphy Social, except as required for account security (such as fraud alerts).

Consent Not Required for Service
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Dolphy Social. You may use the app with alternative authentication methods (Apple, Google, or Facebook sign-in) if you do not wish to receive SMS messages.
Carrier Disclaimer
Dolphy Social is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier network issues. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your mobile carrier.
Children’s Privacy
Dolphy Social is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you’re a parent and believe we’ve collected personal information from your child, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
California Privacy Rights
If you’re a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These include the right to know what data we collect, the ability to access it, and the ability to request deletion. You also have the right to opt out of data selling—though for clarity, we do not sell any user data.
Under California law, you have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, including approximate geolocation data, and how it is used.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect new features, changes in the law, or improvements in how we handle data. When we do, we’ll notify you in the app or by email.
