How to Create a Group or Event

Host group gatherings, from casual get-togethers to educational events and business networking opportunities.

Steps to Create an Event

  1. Click the Plus sign on the bottom center of your screen
  2. Select Event
  3. The app will guide you through the required fields:
    • Event title and description
    • Date and time
    • Location
    • Capacity (number of attendees)
    • Pricing (free or paid)
    • Any additional requirements

Membership Required

Note: A paid Dolphy membership is required to host events and groups. This includes:

  • Mandatory ID verification
  • Criminal record search
  • Enhanced security features

Privacy and Safety

Your meeting address will not be visible to other users until you accept their request to join.

Safety Recommendations

We encourage:

  • Meeting in public places when possible
  • Exercising caution if gathering in residential places
  • Accepting only verified users for more authentic and safe experiences
  • Setting clear expectations in your event description

Event Pricing Options

You can choose to:

  • Host for free - No charge to attendees
  • Set a fee - Charge per attendee to compensate for event expenses and labor

Managing Your Event

After creating your event:

  • Review and accept attendee requests
  • Communicate with attendees through messaging
  • Update event details as needed
  • Cancel or reschedule if necessary
