What is Dolphy and how does it work?
Dolphy is a social platform that helps you to meet people through shared activities or events.
Activities
Activities feature allows individual app users to post invitations for a specific one-on-one activity, based on date/time and location. The activity can be anything, from going for a short walk with someone, doing hobbies or sports together, to simply dine or chat with another person.
We added few hardcoded activity suggestions for inspirational purposes, but the app allows a free-text activity labels to tap into a vast diversity of possible activities.
The Explorer page on the app will list all invitations, which can be sorted in various ways and bookmarked for further consideration and communication with the host before accepting an invitation.
Events and Groups
Events and Groups feature allows users to host and attend gatherings with more than two people. This can be casual get-togethers for a game night, a group gathering at a local park, an event meant for educational purposes or business networking, and any other kind of group assembly.
The host has an option to organize the event free of charge to attendees, or assign a fee per attending user to compensate for the event expenses and associated labor. No membership is required to attend an event or participate in group activity.
However, Dolphy membership is required for users wishing to host events or groups. The membership includes a mandatory ID verification for individuals hosting events and groups.
Services
Services feature connects people who may offer periodic help to others for a fee, such as caregivers, handymen, tutors, pet sitters, and myriads of other possible services. The app enables individual users to advertise their services and securely collect payment for their services without the risk of non-payment.
No membership is necessary to hire a service. However, Dolphy membership is required for users wishing to provide services. The membership includes a mandatory ID verification for the service providers.
